AWS Storage Engineer — Prague (Hybrid, Contract)

For an enterprise organization modernizing its file and object storage infrastructure — we are looking for an AWS Storage Engineer. The team is responsible for keeping storage secure, scalable, and highly available across a mix of on-prem file systems and AWS cloud services.

You will be designing, implementing, and supporting storage movement services that connect enterprise file servers with AWS object storage, working across SMB, NFS, and Amazon S3 environments.

What you'll be doing:

• Configuring and managing SMB (CIFS) file storage on enterprise storage or file servers


• Configuring and managing NFS in Linux/UNIX environments


• Working with Amazon S3 — buckets, versioning, lifecycle policies, encryption, and access control


• Setting up IAM roles and policies following security best practices


• Troubleshooting and tuning storage performance across the environment


• Automating operational tasks with Python, Bash, or PowerShell


• Supporting networking aspects of storage, including DNS, routing, firewalls, and load balancing

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience


• 1+ years of experience as a Storage Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar infrastructure role


• Hands-on experience with SMB/CIFS and NFS configuration and management


• Practical experience with AWS storage services and IAM fundamentals


• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking as it relates to storage


• Nice to have: EFS, FSx, EBS, Storage Gateway, enterprise NAS platforms (NetApp, Dell/EMC, Isilon, Pure), Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and AWS certifications (SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect)
