We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join a stable IT environment and take responsibility for the administration, performance, availability, and security of Microsoft SQL Server databases.

What will you do?

• 
  

  Administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and scale database servers.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor and optimize database performance.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage database access and permissions.

  
  


• 
  

  Define and enforce database standards and best practices in the areas of performance, security, monitoring, and operations.

  
  


• 
  

  Review and improve backup and recovery strategies according to SLA requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Configure and maintain SQL Server Availability Groups.

  
  


• 
  

  Cooperate with other IT teams on support, maintenance, and incident resolution.

  
  


• 
  

  Handle basic Windows Server administration.

  
  

What are we looking for?

• 
  

  Hands-on experience with database administration.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with SQL Server Availability Groups.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with database performance monitoring and optimization.

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies.

  
  


• 
  

  Basic knowledge of Windows Server.

  
  


• 
  

  English at B2 level or higher.

  
  

Nice to have

Around 5% of the role may also involve:

• 
  

  Development, maintenance, and administration of ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse solutions.
